Enchanted Woods at Winterthur: Upside Down Tree

It was of the first design ideas in my sketchbook, but I didn’t pursue it because it seemed a bad idea to cut down a live tree. But ten years later the Winterthur woods provided a “dead” ringer for the one in my sketchbook.
